Britney Spears News

After all the scrapes, annoyances and wrong reasons pop star Britney Spears’ is back with her latest new single – ‘Womansier’. It looks that tooking control of her business affairs in February, she turned her life for the better. So we are glad to see her well again!

It’s a brand new Britney, picking up the pieces of her almost finished career from where she had signed off, not afraid to flaunt herself and showing off her newly toned body in her steamy new video ‘Womanizer’.

The new single from her latest album ‘Circus’ – ‘Womanizer’ is the first single released by Spears, since her stunning triumph at the 2008 MTV Music Awards, where she opened the show and won three awards for her video ‘Piece of Me’.

Always being in the news for all the wrong reasons, the star had been on the mend since her father took control of her business affairs in February, and seems like her personal life too has swung for the better.

In Britney’s latest album ‘Circus’, retro-futurism takes a roller coaster ride expressed through the snappy staccato beats, well-crafted by the young Atlanta-based production team ‘The Outsydas’. The album features clean and contemporary songs but also invokes the quick-witted style of vocal groups like the ‘Andrews Sisters’ – a style Britney’s rival, Christina Aguilera, has mined to great success before.

The highly manipulated vocal complements Spears’ Mississippi Valley Girl diction; though she’s been turned into a robot (again), she actually sounds engaged. The lyrics generate a kind of girl power that’s focussed on besting one obnoxious man, is both vintage and contemporary at the same time – more feminism as opposed to individualism, which is quite in vogue at the moment.
