One more world record has been registered at the Sotheby’s auction when it was sold a 6-liter bottle of Chateau Petrus 1982, described by the seller as smelling of prunes and spices, for $94,000 at famous auction of fine wines in Hong Kong in October.

The result of sells of collectible wines surprised even the experts: it were sold for 7.9 million dollars. According to the experts, Hong Kong is fast becoming one of the major markets sales of expensive vintage wines, throwing open the export of traditional world wine capitals. In many ways this is a consequence of shift in global economic and financial center of the United States and Western Europe to Asia.
